So often, online marketers spend their time reviewing email delivery statistics and attempting to decipher their significance. This can tell you an awful lot about what you’re doing right versus what you’re doing wrong, and through trial and error you can make great headway in perfecting your marketing campaign. But the most effective way is by asking your customers point blank. Building a survey for marketing purposes is a tried and true method of collecting the kind of information it might otherwise take you months to glean from analytic tools.
Earlier, we talked about the importance of creating a powerful subject line that would increase the likelihood that your email recipients would take part in your survey. But simply choosing the right words isn’t all you need to do. Here are a couple more tips to help your questionnaire invite read clearly, all the better to make the most of your survey builder software.
• Include your company name in the subject of your email. This will go a long way to increasing recognition among your survey recipients. If they read your company name in the email subject, they’ll be far less likely to think your message is junk mail.
• Be brief. The shorter the subject line, the better. People want to know at a glance what your email message is about, and the more concise you can be the greater the chances are they’ll be willing to give you their time.
