How to Work with Your Subscribers for Better Returns

Before you kick on your autoresponder software and send a volley of bulk emails to your subscribers, remember that you’re sending information to people who are looking for answers, for somebody to follow, for somebody to put their trust in. We’ll go over a few useful tips that you can use in order to better leverage your results and build trust with your followers, and thus earning you more income through a positive relationship with your readers.

Give Quality Information

Don’t just find a generic blog post and copy it, calling it a newsletter to send to your subscribers. If that’s your approach then you’re asking for trouble. Your readers expect something special, something truly informative that they can take with them to improve their own lives in some way. You have the power to send bulk email online to thousands of people, and you want those people to be your friends.

Think of it this way, the happier your readers are with your content, the more willing they’re going to be to spend their money with you when it comes time to send them promotions. Giving your readers something of value is important to do before you ask for something in return. You need to “give” before you “take” with them, so give them what they want, and when the time comes, they’ll give you what you want, too.

Have a Personality

Even through auto responder programs, you can convey a personality to your audience. People want somebody they can really relate to, or at least feel is different than a generic online marketer. If you’re running a newsletter then you don’t want to be bland or stick too much to the middle of the road. Your subscribers want you to feed them information that’s interesting, compelling, and that they can use, but they want you to entertain them while doing it.

This is where personality really fits in. If you can entertain while educating, then you’re going to make happy subscribers, and those subscribers can quickly turn into customers.

Don’t Overload Your Readers

Just because you have a way to send unlimited emails doesn’t mean that you should bog down your subscribers inboxes with daily newsletters and promotions. Perhaps if you could provide exceptional content on a daily basis then you can make daily newsletters work, but you’ll need some powerful inspiration and information in order to pull that off long-term.

On the other hand, you don’t want to give your readers too little content by not mass emailing frequently enough. Once per week or at the least once every other week is standard for most newsletters. This way your readers are happy, they get what they want and not too much of it, and the trust you build can help you work with your subscribers for better returns.
