Getting Customers through Email Marketing

March 06, 2013

There are multiple factors to getting customers through email marketing; transforming your subscribers into buyers. We’re going to address a few here so that you can make the shift in your online email marketing efforts and start building a solid online business that pays the bills.

Go for Plain

A convoluted and overcrowded message is a hindrance to your audience when sending newsletters from your bulk email application. Not only does it make it difficult – if not impossible – to properly view what you’re sending on mobile phones, but the images and coding can be blocked by a person’s email client outright. The most successful bulk emails are ones that provide a point, have a quick call to action, and have minimal clutter.

Don’t Just Pitch

Your subscribers want value, and that’s why they joined up with your list in the first place. Pitching them products is fine once you’ve developed the appropriate rapport with them, but constant pitching will destroy your reader’s trust with you. Put your email blaster program to good use by first building trust, providing value, and enhancing your reputation. During this process you can actually pitch services to your list; just make certain they’re promotions that are of the same high quality your messages are.

Segment Your Audience

If you’re promoting a product or service to your list and you have a portion of your list buy whatever you’re promoting, don’t let that go to waste. After they purchase, have them insert their email through another list so you now know which portion of your email list consists of buyers, and which portion consists of freebie seekers. You can send a bulk email to both the buyers and the freebie seekers, and there may be offers that the freebie seekers really like and decide to purchase. In any event, your buyers are where the money’s at, so that’s part of how you really determine who your customers are and where your cash flow is at.

Get Social

If you’re using your sender software to provide quality newsletters and messages to your subscribers, then you’d better give them a way to share what you’re saying with their friends. This is free advertising, so when somebody retweets your message, sends it to their friends and coworkers, “Likes” it on Facebook, talks about it on Tumblr, you’re getting free advertising, and it’s made even better that it’s by your satisfied readers. This is an excellent position to be in, so be sure to provide others the means to share it.

All of these features culminate to shift a reader into a buyer. Use what you’ve learned and gain more customers through your email marketing efforts.
