Use email marketing to let those on your subscriber list know about your blog. Increase traffic, responses and comments, and provide even more quality information to those already interested in what you have to say. You can also encourage subscribers to share blog posts with others to increase readership.
Additional Advice
A blog still remains a great platform to give advice, advanced tips, or to share information that people might not learn anywhere else. And who would appreciate this collection of information better than those already on your subscriber list? Make sure subscribers know you also publish a blog by sending a message that includes a link or button to the blog site.
Include a link to the blog in all future email content so subscribers can click and read whenever they like. Also, ask subscriber to pass along the link to others that may be interested in the content your blog contains.
Entice and Inform
Send mass email messages that contain shortened versions of what you post on your blog. Mention that for more information, subscribers should visit the blog regularly. You can also announce future topics or special posts so subscribers know when to expect this information.
Use email to showcase special posts by giving subscribers a preview. Include an excerpt or synopsis to entice people to go to your blog to read more. You can also use this strategy to promote social media pages.
Surveys and Polls
In addition to sending surveys and polls to subscribers via email, post these items on your blog. Encourage subscribers to visit your blog to fill out a quick survey or answer questions on your poll. Post the results in a future posting. You can do the same for contests and other interactive activities.
Promote Your Website and Other Online Marketing Channels
Cross-marketing allows you to promote each online marketing channel (website, social media, blog, forum, etc.) repeatedly so subscribers have a better idea of other places you market goods and services. Always include website, social media and blog addresses in email content, on blog and fan pages, and on your website.
If you publish articles, post comments on forums or on other blogs, include at least one link (website, fan page, etc.) so people can find your sites.
