5 Places You Should Be Using to Find Marketing Leads

August 14, 2013

Leads for your email blasting list don’t need to come strictly from organic visitors to your website. By using offline sites to either capture opt-in emails or to redirect consumers to your site you can significantly increase the amount of contacts on your list.

1) Ecommerce sites. A number of Ecommerce platforms provide email services that allow you to give customers a chance to sign-up for your newsletter or to receive your emails when they check out after buying a product. Targeting these customers for follow-up special offers can enhance customer loyalty and increase your chances of making them repeat buyers of your products.

2) Facebook. The dominant social media platform allows for integration with services that allow users of the service to sign-up for your email marketing list on your Facebook page itself. This allows you to convert your social media outreach efforts into actionable data that can expand the reach and scope of your email marketing efforts.

3) YouTube. This video sharing service has become an enormous search engine for video content of all sorts, and the massive audiences it attracts provide an excellent potential source of email marketing leads in concert with your video outreach efforts. Make sure to place a link to your site with any video advertising you place on YouTube. If you are able to create a viral video, one whose content attracts large volumes of views, it can provide an excellent source for attracting new contacts for your list.

4) Twitter. Currently in beta testing with a small number of brand advertisers, Twitter plans in the near future to expand to all advertisers its functionality allowing sponsored tweets to use a call-to-action button to capture emails from consumers interested in signing up for the advertisers’ email list. Given the massive size of the Twitter user base, this is a development well worth following.

5) Google+. This rapidly growing social network allows you to provide content that is indexed by Google’s search engine, and also to provide links to your site that can be used to derive leads for your bulk email marketing list from those interested in the products or services you provide. Using Google+ to disseminate content thus has the advantage of not only helping improve your site’s ranking for searches, but also to promote subscriptions by allowing you to link directly to your site from the content you place on the service.
